For an address - Pedestrian traffic
|
To quantify the traffic in front of addresses we have divided the European territory into tiles (latitude and longitude truncated to the 4th decimal place, which is approximately equivalent to 8x10m tiles). For each tile, we quantify the number of pedestrians and vehicles passing in front of the address according to their speed (time and distance between two points). We apply a filter to eliminate static and motorised people. We then compute a score with the IDs seen in the tiles located within a radius of 16 metres around the address tile (radius of visibility on the address). Our algorithms are calibrated using thousands of physical count points accumulated over the years to ensure our reliability |
For a shopping centre or a commercial area - Footfall
| Our quantified shopping centre or shopping area data counts the average number of unique daily visits over the selected period. The same person will be counted once per day. For the hourly view and in case a person has stayed several hours, he/she will be counted every hour to give an idea of the footfall of the shopping centre over the day. Thus, the sum of the hourly footfalls is not equal to the daily footfall. We optimise our algorithm using count and sensor data collected over the years to be ever more reliable. For shopping areas, visitors are counted regardless of their means of travel (pedestrians and vehicles). Visitors have to stay in the area for a certain time to be detected. Our technology uses signals from mobile devices sent at intervals. Although the exact duration of a counted visit is not predefined, a short stay will not be detected. |

Address |
A person is counted as many times as he/she has passed in front of your address during the day, week or month. |

Store & Shopping Center |
A visit is counted when a person goes through the doors of the store/shopping centre and stays more than 10 minutes. The person is counted once a day even if she is leaving and re-entering multiple times (with the exception of the hourly view: if a person stays for several hours, they will be counted every hour). |

Dynamic footfall thresholds
We have defined a minimum that guarantees data reliability. They are applied on the weekly average footfall and analyses are displayed if the pedestrian traffic is higher than the following thresholds.
