You can customise the criteria and their weighting in the MyTraffic score computation. Once the setup has been validated, it will apply to all account users, but you can modify it later. After this stage, you'll need to bookmark the page to find it easily.
Examples:
➡️ You are a service area network manager and want to analyse the cities where your stations are located.
In 'Settings', select your brand as 'Affinity Neighbours' and then apply a filter on the table by choosing 'Number of affinity neighbours > 1'. This will give you a score for all the cities where your stations are located.
➡️ You are a sales manager at a charging station company and a brand is launching a tender for these stores.
Using the same settings as in the example above, you can quickly score all the cities where this brand is present in order to decide which stores to bid on and which to leave.
3. Analyses
Depending on the tab you choose and the locations you are targeting, you can analyse by city or by shopping area.
To start the analysis, choose the country (1) and the desired region (2).
In the table on the right, click on ‘Filters’ (3) to refine your search and obtain a relevant list of locations corresponding to your needs.
💡 The more precise your filters, the more precise the list of locations will be. We invite you to adjust the filters to obtain a panel that suits your need.
You will access the list of the best locations for installing stations in the desired region.
At the same time, the map (4) allows you to visually identify the best areas corresponding to your search in green, based on the MyTraffic score. Areas in red are the least favourable areas with the criteria applied.
💡Click on the neighbourhood of your choice to open an overview of the detailed criteria.
For each city, we show you the following indicators:
- MyTraffic Score: we calculate a compatibility score for each city based on the criteria chosen and the parameters entered. This score is an absolute score, making it possible to compare all the cities in the same region. The calculation is based on all the indicators shown in the table.
0% to 25%: low, 25% to 50%: interesting, 50% to 75%: very interesting, 75% and 100%: excellent.
- AADT: annual average daily traffic on the busiest road in the district, shopping area or town (depending on the filter). We detect the busiest road segment (in one direction if it is a road with a median, in both directions otherwise).
- Competitors: number of competitors in the town (according to the selected criteria).
- Affinity neighbours: number of points of interest likely to increase the attractiveness of a location in the city (according to the selected criteria).
- EV by origin: number of electric vehicles in the object's catchment area. This indicator corresponds to the actual addressable market for electric vehicles at the location.
- EV: number of electric vehicles registered in this city (corresponding to the latest data made available by the government of the selected country).
- Target visitors by origin: percentage of visitors belonging to the richest 40% of the population in the country in question (quintiles 4 and 5) and visiting this city.
- Target visitors: percentage of visitors belonging to the richest 40% of the population in the selected country (quintiles 4 and 5) and living in this city.
- Chargers: number of charging stations in the city (based on the latest Mytraffic update, approximately every 3 months).
- Average time: average time spent (in minutes) per month by visitors to this town.
In the table, you can rank the towns according to the criteria that matter most to you, in ascending or descending order. These different indicators are available at city, district and shopping area levels.
Examples:
- You work for a charging point operator and a brand launches a call for tenders for its stores. In the ‘Parameters’ tab, choose the brand as ‘Affinity neighbours’ then filter in the table on ‘number of affinity neighbours >1’. You can analyse all the cities where this brand is located at a glance. This allows you to identify the most interesting stores.
- You have a network of motorway service areas and want to compare the score for all the cities where your stations are located? In the ‘Parameters’ tab, choose your brand as ‘Affinity neighbours’ then filter the table on ‘number of affinity neighbours >1’ to carry out your analysis.
