- Go to the ‘Station Selector’ module in the left-hand menu.
- Click on ‘Create a new project’.
- Give your project a name and click on ‘Create’.
Step 1 ‘Country’: Choose the country (depending on your contract).
Step 2 ‘Locations of interest’: Add the locations to be evaluated.
- Upload them via an Excel file
- Click on ‘Upload from a spreadsheet' and download our example file .xlsx
- Fill the file with assets of your portfolio. Precise the type of the assets: "address".
- Precise the name of the address with the following format: "xxx Street xxxxxx, London, United Kingdom" OR precise the GPS coordinate of your asset, for example: "51.521030, -0.141484".
- Search for them manually
- Enter the address in the search bar and select it from the list.
- Give it a custom name in the column of the same name.
- Click on ‘Save’ and then on ‘Next’ at the bottom left.
Step 3 ‘Road segments‘:
- Choose a location from the list.
- Select the relevant road segments to be evaluated on the map on the right. You can add more than one, in which case the traffic on these road segments will be added together. The total of this traffic will be visible in the table on the left. To do this, click on the section of road you want to add.

Road without median strip with or without traffic in both directions Once you have selected your section, you can choose the traffic direction you want, as the lanes are not separate. |

Road with a median with traffic in both directions The two directions of traffic are separate, so you can choose your route without worrying about the direction. |
When selecting your sections, we recommend that you compare comparable segments with each other. For example, if one of your sections includes a car park entrance, we recommend that you take these into account for all the sections you compare.
- Repeat this step for all the locations.
- Click on ‘Next’ at the bottom left.
💡Notes: road sections are provided by open source. A road section corresponds to a road segment without any intersections. Sections are cut at each intersection, exit, roundabout or bend.
Certain road sections are excluded to ensure the reliability of the data.
Step 4 ‘Commercial environment’:
- Select the competitors and points of interest to be considered in your business environment analysis.
- Competition: You can filter competing charging stations by charging power (for example, you can filter only on stations with at least one charging point over 22kW),
- Points of interest: Select points of interest by selecting the categories that are relevant to you (for example, supermarkets and petrol stations).
- Click on ‘Save’ at the bottom left.
